The Albany City School District has released its reopening plan for the upcoming academic year.

The district says masks will be mandatory for everyone regardless of their vaccination status and social distancing guidelines will be put in place. Also, students are going to take their classes in-person five days a week, something that hasn't happened since the 2019-2020 school year. Each district is responsible for creating their own plans after the state Department of Health said last week it wouldn't issue any mandates since there's no longer a state of emergency in effect.
