For the first time since March 2020, the border between the United States and Canada is back open to non-essential travelers.

That means Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to enter the country. However, they must provide proof they've tested negative for the virus within three days of arriving in Canada and have no symptoms of the illness. Travelers are reminded to bring a copy or a take a screenshot of any requested documents in order to help make sure the border crossing process runs smoothly.
