Governor Cuomo says all health care workers across New York State are going to have to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

It was announced on Monday that employees at both hospitals and long-term care facilities need to be immunized by September 27th. There will be exemptions to the requirement, but only for people with a medical or religious reason not to get their shots. The state Department of Health has also approved a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine for people who have compromised immune systems. Those folks can get the extra dose 28 days after completing their two-shot vaccine series.
