A public meeting to discuss a proposed class-action settlement involving contaminated water in and around Hoosick Falls is being held Wednesday night.

It'll take place at the open-air pavilion located at the Reynolds-Gilchrest Skating Rink on Barton Avenue from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Under the terms of the deal, the three companies blamed for causing the water problems have agreed to pay $ 65-million. Anyone impacted by the pollution who wants to be compensated as part of the settlement must file a claim by January 24th.
