Former NXIVM president Nancy Salzman is going to be spending the next three-and-a-half years in prison.

On Wednesday, a federal judge in New York City sentenced the 67-year-old following her guilty plea to racketeering conspiracy charges. The attorneys for Salzman had requested that she serve no time behind bars. Salzman spent decades as the second in command to NXIVM founder Keith Raniere and gathered the names and email account passwords of people who were perceived as enemies of the group. She's scheduled to begin her prison sentence January 19th.
