A Waterford woman is in trouble with the law after being accused of stealing jewelry from the homes of elderly people.
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office says 43-year-old Christy Batcher took the items from clients while working as a house cleaner. Batcher carried out the thefts between March 25th and May 19th of this year then exchanged the things she stole for cash at an area business. She was released after being arraigned on grand larceny charges and is due back in court at a later date.
