Governor Hochul says another group of health care workers are going to need to roll up their sleeves and get their COVID-19 vaccine shots.

The governor says employees at psychiatric hospitals in the state's Office of Mental Health network as well as workers at specialty hospitals certified by the state Office for People With Developmental Disabilities must receive their first vaccine dose by November 1st. Employees won't have the option of being tested for COVID-19 instead of getting a shot. A mandate that hospital and nursing home workers get vaccinated went into effect last week.
