New York Governor Kathy Hochul is noting she has COVID-19 related concerns heading into the holiday season.

New York experienced an uptick in coronavirus numbers last year around this time as the Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays brought friends and family together. Officials have expressed hope that things will be much better this time around given the relatively high-rate of vaccinations. Governor Hochul reports the state's hospitalization numbers do seem to be flattening, and she notes hospitals are well prepared to increase patient capacity as needed.
