While Election Day is still over a week away, New York State residents will start casting their ballots this weekend.
Early voting gets underway Saturday and will run through October 31st. Turnout is likely to be high once again this year because most people will want to avoid potentially crowded polling places on Election Day due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Monday, November 1st is the last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot for the general election which is November 2nd. To find out where to vote early in your community, contact your local Board of Elections.
