A Niskayuna police officer is still recovering after being injured in the line of duty.
According to court documents, 21-year-old Kyle Bellick entered the attached garage of a home in the town Monday with the intent of committing a crime. A short time later, the officer was involved in an encounter with Bellick at Blatnick Park which resulted in the officer suffering a cut and bruising to their face. Bellick was taken into custody and is facing felony burglary and assault charges.
