Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer wants action to ease rising gas prices.

The New York Democrat believes President Biden should tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to help lower gas prices heading into the holiday season. Schumer admits it would only be a temporarily solution. Gas prices are about $ 1.30 higher nationally from this time last year. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has said Biden is considering tapping the reserve and he's also looking at other ways to ease the pain at the pump.
