New York State has reached another milestone in the ongoing battle against the coronavirus.

Governor Hochul announced Thursday that 80 % of New Yorkers over the age of 18 are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The governor says with the holidays and cold weather coming, anyone who hasn't been immunized yet should get their shots so they can protect themselves, their families and their friends from the illness. Anyone who wants to schedule an appointment to get vaccinated can do so by visiting the state's "Am I Eligible" website.
