New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says he'll begin campaigning statewide and talk to New Yorkers about his education plan beginning in January.
de Blasio said it's fair for people to draw their own conclusions, as he's mentioned a possible run for governor. To date, de Blasio hasn't confirmed or denied the idea he'd run for statewide office when his term as mayor expires. The Democrat had a contentious relationship with former Governor Andrew Cuomo, but publicly gets along well with incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul.
