New data shows the spread of the coronavirus may be starting to slow down a bit in Capital Region schools.

According to reports, there were 1,055 infections reported among students and staff last week. That's a 30-% drop from the previous week when cases increased significantly following the Thanksgiving break. Right now, both Washington and Fulton counties have the highest rate of school-reported COVID-19 infections in the entire state.
