Governor Hochul has announced the creation of a 'Ski for Free' program that's aimed at increasing the number of people vaccinated against COVID-19.

The governor says kids between the ages of five and 11 years old who get their first vaccine dose and anyone who has received a COVID-19 booster shot can enter a drawing to receive free lift tickets at participating mountains in the Eastern or Western part of the state. Tickets can be used during the 2021-2022 ski season. Contest entries can be submitted online and the first drawing of the six-week sweepstakes will be on January 4th.
