Some new data shows the spread of COVID-19 is continuing to worsen in Capital Region schools.

Reports say there were 6,500 cases reported last week which is almost ten times higher than the weekly average in November. The Shenendehowa Central School District says 483 people tested positive for the virus while the Albany City School District reported 344 infections. Health officials are continuing to urge parents to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19.
