Congressman Paul Tonko has sent the FBI a letter asking the agency to reveal details about an informant who also owned the limousine involved in a deadly crash over three years ago.
Tonko says he wants more information about how the FBI interacted with Shahed Hussain, after recent media coverage alleged federal agents have protected him for years. Tonko says he isn't aware of any wrongdoing but believes family and friends of the 20 people killed in the 2018 tragedy in Schoharie deserve to know the truth. The FBI says it has received Tonko's letter but had no further comment.
