Students at two local schools are going to see increased security when they head back to their classrooms Monday.
Officials at Albany High School and the Heatly School in Green Island are bumping up security protocols due to violent incidents that happened before winter break. At Heatly, students will see a second school resource officer and be issued a QR code on their phones to report bullying. In addition to increased safety measures, students and staff at Albany High are going to have access to counselors, psychologists and social workers.
