A new program has been launched at Albany International Airport to make the traveling experience less stressful for people with special needs.

It's called the Sunflower Lanyard Program and will discreetly inform airport staff of a person's disability so they can provide that individual with any necessary support. Lanyards can be picked up at the Airport Information Desk located on the first level of the terminal. Albany International is the first airport in Upstate New York to participate in this program.
