Governor Kathy Hochul has signed a package of bills aimed at ending harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

The measures include the establishment of a toll-free confidential hotline to report workplace sexual harassment issues along with a law prohibiting the release of personnel records as a retaliatory action against employees. Another piece of legislation closes a loophole to make all state and public employers subject to the Human Rights Law. Governor Hochul says everyone has the right to a safe workplace and she's proud of the steps being taken to promote dignity and respect for all New Yorkers.
