Saint Patrick's Day has arrived, and police across New York State will be doing their part over the next few days to make sure everyone gets to and from their celebrations safely.

Their latest crackdown on impaired drivers began Wednesday and will continue through Sunday, March 20th. Travelers can expect to see an increased police presence on the roads and additional sobriety checkpoints. During last year's campaign, over 47,000 traffic tickets were handed out and more than 1,400 people were arrested for DWI.
