State Police have made two arrests in connection with the death of a dog in Rensselaer County.

Troopers say 44-year-old Gretchen Eddy was the owner of the animal and failed to get it the proper medical care before it was shot and killed by 57-year-old Christopher Spencer. The dog's remains were found earlier this month near some power lines off Stewart Lane in the Town of Sand Lake. Eddy is charged with a misdemeanor while Spencer is charged with a felony. Both were issued appearance tickets and will be back in court at a later date.
