Several state lawmakers want to ensure chocolate milk remains an option for children at school cafeterias.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he wants to ban the beverage in schools, but Republican and Democratic legislators are asking him not to do that. Republican Assemblyman Chris Tague is among those sending a letter to Mayor Adams asking him not to ban chocolate milk. He argues that it will take a nutritious option away from students and hurt upstate dairy farmers.
