Schenectady County Legislature Meeting Monday Night To Discuss Gas Tax Cap

Members of the Schenectady County Legislature are meeting Monday night to discuss a proposal that would cap the county's tax on gasoline. The measure calls for the gas tax to be capped at $2.00 for both gasoline and diesel fuel. If approved, the cap would be in place from June 1st until February, 28th, 2023. The state tax on gas will be suspended from June 1st through the end of this year. Monday evening's meeting begins at 7:00 pm and can be watched live on the county's YouTube channel.
