Albany police say they've made an arrest as their investigation into the city's second homicide of 2022 continues.

They say 30-year-old Wendall Ponce was found shot to death inside a home on Stanwix Street around 1:15 am Wednesday. Minutes later, 40-year-old Douglas Bynum was found on Bogart Terrace suffering from gunshot wounds and officers also saw he was in possession of a loaded handgun. He was taken to Albany Med where he was arraigned yesterday. Police say they're confident the incident on Bogart Terrace is related to the murder on Stanwix Street. They're asking anyone with information to call them.
