A public hearing has been scheduled for next week to discuss the possible construction of a brand-new skate park in Troy.

The skate park would be located in the area of Hoosick Street and Fifth Avenue below the Collar City Bridge. Mayor Patrick Madden says that discussions involving this project are in their early stages and he wants to hear thoughts from residents about the proposal. The meeting is set for May 18th at 6:00 pm and it'll be held at the River Street Market on River Street.
