The largest all-women's 5K race in the Northeast will be taking place in the Capital Region this weekend.
The Freihofer's Run For Women is going to start at 9:00 am Saturday in front of Albany City Hall. Whoever crosses the finish line first will win a $3,000 prize, while second place pays $2,500 and third place pays $2,000. Runners who still want to compete can sign up Friday from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Freihofer's Health and Fitness Expo at The Armory at Sage College.
