Governor Hochul has officially announced a special election to fill the vacant seat in the 19th Congressional District.
Former Congressman Antonio Delgado stepped down from the job last month so he could become lieutenant governor. The lieutenant governor job was open following the resignation of Brian Benjamin who was indicted on bribery and fraud-related charges. Voters in the 19th District will go to the polls to pick their new representative on Tuesday, August 23rd.
