A special meeting is being held in Troy Friday night following the resignation of now-former City Councilwoman Kimberly Ashe-McPherson.
She stepped down her position yesterday after pleading guilty on Wednesday to a felony charge of fraudulently submitting absentee ballots in primary and general election races last year. That means the District Two seat on the City Council is vacant and needs to be filled. Friday night's meeting is set to begin at 6:00 pm.
