State Police are continuing their investigation into an officer involved shooting that happened in Saratoga County.
Troopers arrived at a Ballston Lake residence Saturday after receiving a call saying a man discharged a shotgun near the home and made suicidal statements to an occupant of the residence. The 27-year-old was then engaged in a standoff with police for hours and he eventually emerged from the residence with a shotgun. Police asked him to drop the weapon but he refused, which led to an officer opening fire. The man is now in guarded condition at Albany Med.
