An Albany man is facing the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a murder charge.

The Albany County District Attorney's Office says 29-year-old Shimair Perrin admitted Monday to shooting and killing Lamon Lanier in the area of Willett Street and Hudson Avenue in Albany back in July 2021. Perrin is expected to be scheduled in August. He'll also be on probation for five years once he's no longer behind bars.
