Concerns over the spread of a virus that's potentially fatal to dogs are growing after at least seven dead canines have been discovered in Troy.

The city's assistant police chief says the dogs were found in four locations around the city. Tests on two of the animals have confirmed that they had canine parvovirus which is a very contagious illness. It's believed all of the dogs who passed away were from the same litter. Officials are still looking into whether any crimes have been committed.
