Voters in the Village of Lake George have overwhelmingly rejected a resolution that would have dissolved their community.

Just 59 people voted in support of that plan Tuesday while 269 people voted against it. Mayor Robert Blais predicted the proposal would be turned down because he believes that people appreciate the village which has a history that goes back to the early 1900's. Had it been approved the village's assets would've been absorbed by the Town of Lake George.
