The healthcare landscape in the Capital Region is undergoing a change thanks to a brand-new partnership between several hospitals.
On Monday, it was announced Albany Med, Saratoga Hospital, Columbia Memorial Hospital, and Glens Falls Hospital will be under the Albany Med Health System. Officials say patients are going to be connected to high quality services and have access to a large team of healthcare experts. The system is set to use a program that will allow quicker diagnoses and referrals among these hospitals. No layoffs are expected as a part of this collaboration.
