Due to a court decision, all provisions of the state's Concealed Carry Improvement Act can remain in place for now.

That means each part of the legislation, such as the new requirements for background checks for gun permits and a ban on guns in some private or public areas, will still be in effect as the appeal process moves forward. A federal judge recently issued a temporary restraining order saying the law's provisions were unconstitutional and couldn't be enforced but that order is now on hold. It'll be up to a three-judge panel to decide what happens next with the law.
