Governor Hochul has announced millions of dollars in funding to help combat gun violence in seven cities across the state, including Albany.

Each location is going to get up to $4 million through Project RISE. The governor says the money will assist community-based organizations with implementing, expanding and improving programs and services that boost public safety. In a statement, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan thanked the governor for once again demonstrating that she'll use every resource available to keep residents safe.
