Scotia Mayor Says Sunnyside Road Bridge is Being Shut Down Tomorrow

Drivers whose daily commutes bring them through Scotia are getting a heads up about an upcoming bridge closure that could impact their travel plans.

Scotia Mayor Tom Gifford says that the New York State Department of Transportation has ordered the Sunnyside Road bridge to be shut down due to unsafe conditions. The closure is scheduled to begin Wednesday and last until the bridge is replaced or repaired in 2024. Traffic will be detoured around the area and more information is available by calling 518-374-3195.
