Albany County Executive Dan McCoy has announced the launch of an initiative that's aimed at helping veterans stay warm during the cold winter months.
McCoy says any coats or other winter gear that are brought to Best Cleaners locations or Albany County buildings will be dry cleaned and given to people in the area who have served our country. The goal is to gather 1,000 new or gently used coats through Tuesday, November 22nd. Since this initiative began in 2013, over 10,000 winter clothing items have been collected and distributed.
