The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is reminding snowmobile enthusiasts to make sure that their snowmobiles are registered for the season.
Registrations must be renewed each year and the process can be completed online through the DMV website, by mail, or by visiting a DMV office. Snowmobilers must carry their registration and proof of insurance with them any time they ride. Riders are also reminded that it's illegal to operate a snowmobile while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
