A tree that grew right here in the Capital Region is going to be getting some time in the national spotlight Wednesday evening.

The Norway Spruce from Queensbury is set to be lit at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Since it was cut down and transported to the Big Apple earlier this month, crews have been working to decorate the massive tree with thousands of lights and also a large Swarovski star. The tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm.
