Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is reminding New Yorkers that assistance is available to help them stay warm during the winter.
The New York Democrat says the state has received over $400-million in federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program funds. In Albany on Monday, the senator said LIHEAP provides a lifeline to thousands of low-income families because many of them can't afford to pay high heating bills.
