Flu season may have only started a few weeks ago, but the New York State Department of Health says there's already been a large number of cases.

To date, more than 113,000 Empire State residents have tested positive for the virus. Hospitalizations are also on the rise and the health department recommends that everyone who is six months and older get a flu shot if they haven't done so already. An appointment to get immunized can be set up at vaccines.gov.
