An investigation is still underway into what caused two separate fires in Albany.

The first blaze happened Monday morning at a building on Jay Street and the flames were knocked down in just a few minutes. A few hours later, there was another fire at a house on South Allen Street. Three people were inside the home at the time and one of them needed treatment for smoke inhalation. It's unclear if the building will have to be torn down.
