Michael Zonsius, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Albany International Airport, has been placed on leave following an employee complaint. The nature of the complaint has not been disclosed to the public. The Albany County Authority Board, which oversees the airport, is also investigating Zonsius' performance in relation to procurement procedures and unauthorized use of funds.
Zonsius has held the position of CFO at Albany International Airport since 2019. Prior to this, he was responsible for the finances of O'Hare International and Midway International airports in Chicago. The board has not provided any further details about the ongoing investigation or Zonsius' leave.
