Albany Police Arrest Woman After Stabbing Incident

Albany police have arrested 27-year-old Angel Infante in connection with a domestic stabbing incident on Columbia Street. Officers responded to the scene near Lodge Street on Monday (December 30) around 11:55 a.m. after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they found a 34-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. Emergency medical personnel treated him on-site before transporting him to Albany Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.

The investigation revealed that the injuries occurred during a domestic dispute inside the residence. Infante, who was present when police arrived, was taken into custody without incident. She faces charges including one count of assault, two counts of criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Infante was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and is currently held at Albany County Jail with bail set at $10,000. CBS6 Albany and Daily Voice reported that police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances leading to the stabbing.
