The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is holding a public meeting in Warren County tonight (January 30) to discuss proposed fare structure changes. The meeting will take place at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The focus is on aligning Warren County's fare structure with the rest of the CDTA system following the merger with Greater Glens Falls Transit last year.
The proposed changes include a cash base fare of $1.50 and a half base fare of $0.75. Paratransit fares are set at $2.50, and the summer trolley fare is $1.50. The CDTA Navigator fare structure allows customers to load funds onto a smartcard or via a mobile app. Pay-as-you-go smart card rides are $1.30 for the first three rides, with subsequent rides free for the rest of the day. Frequent Rider monthly passes offer unlimited service for 31 consecutive days at $65, with a half fare option at $32.50.
For those unable to attend the meeting, CDTA will accept written comments by mail or email until February 7. Comments can be mailed to the CDTA Business Development Department in Albany or emailed with the subject "Warren County Fare Integration Comments" to cdta@cdta.org.
CDTA is also collecting fare usage and demographic information from customers in Warren and Washington Counties through an online survey.
