The All-Star Cheerleading Championships New York Challenge will take place at the Albany Capital Center on Saturday (February 1). Cheerleading teams from across New York will compete for a chance to advance to the All-Star World Championship. The event begins at 9 a.m. and features three sessions with five competition categories. According to News10, this is the first cheerleading event at the venue in almost two years.
Shannon Licygiewicz, general manager of the Albany Capital Center, expressed excitement about hosting the event, saying, "We are thrilled to not only host our first cheerleading event at the ACC in nearly two years, but especially excited to welcome the All-Star Cheerleading Championships through our doors for the first time."
Participants will receive scores, feedback, and commentary from experienced judges. Winners will earn bids to the All-Star World Championship, with opportunities for both full paid and at-large bids. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door, as noted by the Albany Capital Center.
