The United States Postal Service (USPS) will host a series of job fairs in the Capital Region throughout September, seeking to fill positions for City Carrier Assistants and Rural Carrier Associates. These roles offer pay rates starting at $20.73 and $20.38 per hour, respectively.

The first job fair is scheduled for September 4 at Schenectady County Community College from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be followed by events on September 5 at the Albany General Mail Facility, September 12 at Empire State University in Saratoga Springs, and September 24 at the Amsterdam Post Office. Additional events will occur in Albany on September 13, 19, and 26.

According to USPS, applicants must be at least 18 years old, available to work weekends and holidays, and able to pass a background check and drug screening. Applications are to be submitted online through the USPS website.

These job fairs are part of USPS's ongoing efforts to modernize its operations and maintain its status as one of America's most trusted brands. The USPS is implementing a 10-year transformation plan, "Delivering for America," aimed at improving service and achieving financial sustainability.

The USPS, which operates independently and is self-financing, relies on the sale of postage and services to fund its operations. For more information about the job fairs and to apply, visit usps.com/careers.
