President Donald Trump delivered a speech at the Pentagon on Thursday (September 11) to commemorate the twenty-fourth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. During his remarks, President Trump praised the bravery and resilience of Americans on that tragic day. "On that fateful day, savage monsters attacked the very symbols of our civilization. Yet here in Virginia and in New York and in the skies over Pennsylvania, Americans did not hesitate," he said. "They stood on their feet, and they showed the world that we will never yield. We will never bend. We will never give up. And our great American flag will never, ever fail," Trump stated.
The ceremony was attended by First Lady Melania Trump and other dignitaries. President Trump also emphasized the nation's commitment to defending itself against any future threats. "If you attack the United States of America, we will hunt you down," he declared. "We will crush you without mercy, and we will triumph without question."
Following the event at the Pentagon, President Trump was scheduled to travel to New York to continue commemorations at a New York Yankees game. The solemn occasion served as a reminder of the unity and strength that emerged in the aftermath of the attacks, as Americans came together to support one another and honor the memory of those who lost their lives.
