Schenectady police have released the name of their city's first homicide victim of 2022.
Officials say 38-year-old Rasheem Cotman was found suffering from several gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle in the area of Davis Terrace and Third Avenue last Wednesday. Emergency crews tried to save Cotman's life, but he died at the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with this case and anyone with information is asked to call police at 518-788-6566.
